If you expressed dissatisfaction with the WWLL please detail your suggestions to improve it.

Suggestions:
Some processes such as score reporting and all-league selection should be made more efficient.
Maybe assign a mentor for new coaches that will make sure that everything that needs to be done is done and is accessible to answering questions.

Networking with knowledgeable and helpful people within the lacrosse community.

The most recent emails with information about tournaments and playdays (and the links to registration) have been extremely helpful.
Networking and meeting people in the lacrosse community to help develop every team
I am a new coach, so maybe in the future I can answer this question.

Question 10*

Rate your program's interest, meaning your player's interest, in the WWLL adding a North-South All-Star Game to the Championship Weekend.  The likely game placement is 3pm on the final day, Sunday, of the event. Players from teams that didn't make the championship tournament would come for the game, in addition to players already there. The executive committee would look at whether it should be a senior game or open to all classes.

Question 12

If you expressed dissatisfaction with any of the above components of the WWLL please detail your suggestions on how to improve them.

Suggestions:
Some teams are not very good at responding to newer teams attempts to contact them and schedule games. Getting enough games once a team is in the league is not a problem, but the leagues are getting bigger, which puts extra stress on newer teams.
See Question 13 for suggestions about the website.
A system ensuring equal opportunity for representation on all-league teams is needed. Assignment of officials in the Central Region last year was poorly done so that needs to improve.
I am a little to new to voice an oppion on some of the components listed above.

Question 13

WWLL Website (http://www.wwll.com)

What do you like about it? What don't you like about it? What would you like added?
League Members page and Executive Council page has all the contact info I need nicely organized.Banner at the top.
It's easy to navigate and makes information pertaining to the leagues easily accessable. A list of contacts of teams outside of the WWLL to make sending invites for tournaments easier.
easily navigated nonenone
It is helpful finding contact information and other infromation our team may not know about.
being able to have one central reference for all teams and representatives N/AI think it has basically everything we need
 Too Old; outdatedSchedules by team
Having all the contact info in one placeThe date for the last meeting in october was not put up on the site until very late
Schedule and members page
The contact information for all of the teams is very useful, and the master scoreboard/schedule is useful when it's correct and up-to-dateThe website is not always up-to-date. There needs to be an easier, more streamlined score-reporting system: perhaps a secure login where teams can sign in and report games and scores and have those show up immediately. It needs work in the following areas: ease of score reporting, updating of schedule/score report and regional standings, graphics, and clarity of administrative information (ex. dues, tournament dates)
Lots of useful information for players and coaches. At first I found it hard to navigate, but now i am more familiar with it and find it pretty easy. I think we could add more information for people not familiar with the league. Maybe team profiles or something like that.
It has all teams and contacts listed
Everything is laid out in a manner that information is easy to find.Scores are often missing and stats are incomplete or posted late.Features such as game of the week and action photos to keep content fresh.
the members page with all of the contact information, and the master schedule
has all the info we needVisially it could be more interesting.Maybe have a WWLL player of the week section to highlight a player that had a great week. Have a news update section.
Simple and completeCould be a little more exciting and creative.Maybe... Bios on on All League players, articles on the WWLL from news media, a critical information page for communicating to clubs, and/or WWLL Event Calandar.

Question 15

Suggestions for Additional WWLL Components/Services Your Program Could Use

Most Important Addition Second Most Important Addition Third Most Important Addition
A resource that aids in finding a coach.
A better score reporting system - preferably something that would allow for teams to report scores and that information to be immediately available.
Travel resources and tips. Fund raising resources and information.Scheduling forms and a more uniform process.

Question 16

General Comments / Opportunity for Input About Your League.  (i.e. what more can be done to encourage growth, assist young programs, etc.).

Comments Suggestions
Our school's team is currently going through a major transition (from being a social team to a highly competitive team). We want to be recognized as this and no longer be seen as a joke by both officials and other teams (although past seasons obviously lead to these thoughts.) Our growth is being strongly supported by our school and hopefully can be by the league as well! Thanks for helping us get on our feet (especially to Paul)!
this is actually about question #8 in the survey... it will not let me input the same ranking for the different questions. i believed all of the issues to be either a 1 or a 2.
Not all teams have coaches, but those that do need to treat teams' player reps/Presidents with the same respect they'd treat another coach.
The league ought to think critically about what it means by "development". We think that it is in danger of being too big to be manangeable/useful, and that as it grows, a geographical split should be considered. Without splitting the league, a geographical split along North/Central/South lines should be considered for DII if the current 2009 provisional teams become full members. the goal of making some of the teams NCAA is not applicable as a goal for the whole league since some of our schools already have NCAA teams.
If the North-South All-Star game is implemented it should be for seniors to reward them for their four years of playing in the league.
The WWLL has been very helpful and understanding with us starting a new program.
When we started the program here in Humboldt we did not know where to start. I think what could be very helpful to new programs is having a "how to" link for new teams interested in joining the WWLL.
I am very excited to be coaching in the Division 1 North Conference with Cal Poly, Santa Clara, and UC Davis. Chico is an oasis that is very isolated and difficult to get refs at our home games. The cost for refs is extreme due to travel expense. I am currently trying to grow the sport in Northern Central California. We started a Girls High School Team last year and I am hoping to expand that program to two teams. I am also in the process of organizing a U15 (Junior High) girls club. Hopefully, this will promote parents and other Individuals in our area to become refs and get involved in the sport.
