I scroll down the page and check comment numbers underneath the articles to see if there have been any new comments on articles I'm intersted in.
I check the 'latest comments' section to see if there have been any new comments.
I use the pinkish navigation bar at the top to choose a category of interest.
I'd come across an article due to the 'related posts' section at the bottom of each story.
